Marker-based augmented reality

3D you can walk around, opened from a browser, anchored to a printed marker.

Marker-based augmented reality

A WebAR platform that places interactive 3D models in a real space, on iOS, Android, visionOS, and Meta Horizon OS, without an app install.

The situation

Brands wanted an AR experience people would actually open. Asking for an app download lost most of the audience. The scene still had to stay steady on older phones, and it had to work across phones and headsets.

What we built

A printed or on-screen marker anchors the model. WebXR runs the scene in the browser. Assets are compressed so older devices keep a usable frame rate, and a small campaign desk lets a team publish markers and see how they are used.

What changed

  • Available in a mobile browser, with nothing to install
  • Runs on iOS, Android, visionOS, and Meta Horizon OS
  • Used for retail, education, events, and tourism
  • Holds up on older devices through compressed assets
